Topic: After 2048 Gparted offset. Video?'s
Installed,
XPSP3 -> formatted after GParted fdisk'd partition without using diskpart.
OpenBSD -> used after GParted to re-fdisk that partition and disklabel for it's partitions.
Both OS's excepted GParted 2048 offset
The installed the following. on XP
7-zip
sumatra pdf reader
Open Office -> Stable it installed visuall C++ distributable
Internet Explorer 8.0 for XP
Netscape 9.0 the last release
Gimp 2.8
I then listen to some internet radio music via Windows media player
and also some found within but played through a outside site.
I started getting real buggy video output usually much later after boot
but today it happened during boot. When it first occured I checked display
settings that seemed to be reset but that's not the case and today when
it occured it happened after uninstalling all these programs which all seem
to be very clean and stable except for some minor issues with Gimp.
Also today for the 1'st time boot of OpenBSD seemed to be getting some of the
same symptoms for the first time though stop'd just about the time sshd showed
as being started and just prior to login prompt however 1 or 2 other times it took
5 password attempts to get into root without boot s.
During some of the video occurences offline i have used netstat -s which sometimes
shows 3 udp packet header errors and i realize udp is also used a board to output
terminal or vice versa communication protocol.
Could the partitioning offset have anything to do with any of the above or with
the seperation of Internet Explorer in 2 parts prior to loading together as 1?
