Topic: gparted Live Media don't boot on macbook pro late 2010
I created two gparted live CDs with the iso image from sourceforge (version 0.8.0) and a live USB stick using tuxboot with the same version but neither one nor the other boot with my macbook pro (late 2010).
In case of the gparted live CDs, I can choose the CD as boot medium (showing a windows cd labeled gparted) at the options menu at boottime but when the apple appears during boot procedure it interchanges infinitely with a hold sign an don't boot.
In case of the gparted live USB stick, I can't even choose the USB stick as a boot medium
As I'm a relative newbie to mac os and macbooks, i don't know wether this is completely understandable or a real problem.
So my concrete questions:
1.) Should one or all of the created live media boot on my macbook pro at all?
2.) If yes, what is the problem?
3.) If not, is there another way to create a gparted live cd or usb stick that would work with my macbook pro?
Help is very much appreciated. Thank you in advance.
