Topic: Kernel Panic - Not Syncing : Attempt to kill init!
I downloaded the iso for version 0.2.5-2 (as its only 30MB and loads really fast, and shutsdown really fast and easy).
I extracted the iso, and used CDRPACK to make an new iso. I didn't modify or changed anything.
But when I boot up with it I get the following:
Booting from /dev/hdc...
/linuxrc: /linuxrc: 139: cannot create /dev/null: Read-only file system
/linuxrc: /linuxrc: 139: cannot create dev/console: Read-only file system
Kernel panic - not syncing : Attempted to kill init!
So I don't understand whats wrong as I didn't modify anything. I did the same process with other versions of GParted (such as 0.2.5-3) with no errors, but with older versions like 0.2.5-2 and 0.2.5-1 I am. As a note the directory structure of the CD changed majorly from 0.2.5-2 to 0.2.5-3, the former having a bunch of folders and files.
What do I need to do to get this to work?
Thanks in advance.
