X issue - repost

I am still struggling without success - very disappointing.

GParted-live works on my Dell Optiplex990 but Debian-live does not.

The problem is with the Xserver.

How can I get the setup for GParted-live to use for a Debian install?????

...is the issue mabe Debian-live is more recent and a problem has arisen with the driver
while GParted-live is older???

...this is giving me a big headache

help please
