Topic: [closed] P.E. , Grow up to Disk Editor

A year ago I installed Ubuntu and loved linux ever since. I was always able to solve my problems fast, until 2 days ago. I couldn't write to my new HD after formatting it with P.E. . Finally it took a post on ubuntu forum and a "chown" to solve it.

I was probably unlucky that for 3 hours I checked the wrong books and sites, but this simple task is much easier elsewhere.

To make linux more popular I feel strongly P.E.. should become a more general disk manager.
- mounting and unmounting.
- managing ownership

For new users i feel it would also help if the name would change to Disk Editor.
