Topic: GParted does NOT recognize NTFS partition D: (only C:)

On my hard disc there are two partitions:

C: approx 8 GB primary NTFS WinXP
D: approx 152GB extended/logical NTFS just Data

When I boot now with Gparted v0.3.4.11 then only the C: partition is recognized
See this snapshot:

Why is partition D: NOT detected?

Is this a matter of size or of extended/logical declaration?

This hard disk /dev/hda is detected as 8GiB. Is it a real or virtual disk?
Did you check if another disk like /dev/hdb or similar is detected? You can click on the disk location (near the top right of the Gparted window).
Logical and extended partitions are detected as well.
