Topic: HELP! Back to Windows (unfortunately)

Hi,
I tried Linux for a few days, but my wireless adapter wasn't compatible with Linux. And since it was €50, I'm not getting a new one, so I went back to Windows.
When I returned, de installed Linux and stuff, a hard disk was missing. So I went to the Linux forum and asked what to do. They advised to use G-parted, so I downloaded the live CD. I booted with the cd, but I didn't get G-parted as shown at the pictures. It gave a problem with my video card and I got some options like "vim" and a handful others I can't remember. How do I get to G-parted, or is there an other way of formatting all my old Linux partitions?? Please an extensive explanation, cause I'm a total noob when it comes to partitions.
Btw, I'm from Holland, so if any Dutch people know how to help, it's easier for all of us ;-)

Lot's of thanks in advance,
Luuk

Re: HELP! Back to Windows (unfortunately)

There are 10s of Linux versions, so I think you could find a distro that works well with your wireless adapter.

You can't access Linux partitions from mswindows without some special drivers installed. It is normal that you don't see Linux partitions in the windows explorer. But perhaps you can see them as unknown partitions in the disk management utility, and even format them.

About booting the Gparted livecd, you could give more details on the screen that you get (text screen? graphics screen? any message? ). Look at the documentation page, link "The GParted LiveCD NEW RELEASE"
http://gparted.sourceforge.net/larry/livecd/livecd.htm
for the actual screens. You choose an option from the boot menu. If the first (default) option doesn't work, you can try another. The option "Force VESA driver" works on most systems.
