Topic: GParted and HP Desktop
Hi
I have a Compac / HP SR5010NX with Windows Vista Home Edition. I downloaded the Live (iso) version of Gparted 3.4-11. I have tried quite a number of the options including the VESA as you advised another participant. What I observe is that gparted boots until it says:
io scheduler cfg registered
then some more text flashes by too fast to read but seems to end on ... scanning ...
At that point the monitor goes inactive ( I have tried both and LCD and an old CRT monitor)
A bit later the computer starts to go into standby (the disk and fans spin down and become quiet)
I have left it alone for some time but nothing else happens unless I reboot.
If I remove the CD the system boots normally.
Any ideas? I notice that you have later none live (iso) versions. Should I try one of these with a different procedure?
Thanks
