Topic: Gparted failed to boot

I am trying to 'clean' off a Windows 2000 to enable a full Ubuntu install.
When I booted from my Gparted disc it runs through a small amount of script, then black screens. The disc is running but fails to boot.
I know the disc is fine as I've used it recently on another machine.
I've been led to believe it might be the chipset which is an Intel 945g+ICH7.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Re: Gparted failed to boot

You have to select another boot option. An option that mostly works is "force VESA driver".
I hope you don't use any old obsolete version.
