Topic: Graphics Won't Handle Gparted... I guess.

I had a similar problem with installing LinuxMint; it would only work in safe graphics mode.  And, I think I need to do something like that with Gparted.  I've used a couple different boot options and they all do the same:  I go through a couple menus about language and keyboard and do all US and then it gets to a screen where I can tell there are large letters (probably not supposed to be) but there are a lot of colored boxes and it does not look right.  I've seen other people say something about "VESA" but I don't know what or where that is.

There are various options in the boot menu, among them VESA driver too.

Perhaps another livecd version can run without problem.

Another possibility, if you get distorded graphics, is to press Cntrl+Alt+Backspace, and then give "Forcevideo" from the terminal command line. There, you can choose driver and resolution.

The same problem. I tried ver. 0.3.4.10 and 0.3.4.11. No graphics. I run Forcevideo script, type "Vesa"
and choose 1024x768 as resolution and get "bla-bla-bla fatal error...Driver not found..."

I actually got it working now.  I figured out the VESA driver and that got it working.  It acted like it didn't want to work for a second but then loaded up fine.

It works now. Sorry, it was my mistake at using terminal command "Forcevideo". I have got graphic for both version of GParted.
