Topic: Boot live usb fails after disabling irq 11
Many hours work to get this far but can't get gparted live running here.
Using Asus P4P800 motherboard with Nvidia video. Had to force usb drive to use FDD emultion not HDD.
Able to get usb boot menu and chose both default and vesa as boot option on different attempts. Same result.
Continues through much screen output and select keyboard and language.
Says Entering runlevel 3 and some more messages then outputs "Disabling irq 11" and stops there.
Damn - no idea why it's disabling irq 11. Never does that on my normal Fedora 7 boot up.
After waiting a long time I can ctrl-alt-del which causes it to enter runlevel 6 and start the shutdown sequence.
There is an error related to cannot terminate while automount running. It just hangs after that and only way out seems to be hard reset.
My experience trying to use gparted so far has been very discouraging. See my other post here about not being able to use it from my normal desktop in Fedora 7. This attempt to boot on live version was to try and solve that problem. So far nothing but many hours wasted here with this and I should have long ago gone back to using fdisk but I would really like to get this to work.
