EDIT:
Downloaded the iso you told me.
I chose the 1st line in the grub-menu and added the parms
vga=788 xmodule=fbdev.
Still no success, but screen is not staying black but is falling back on the console.

so it must be something with the kernel config. Unfortunately i am not able to get back the config file from the Knoppix kernel

I am in touch with one of the maintainers of the Knoppix livecd. So I got the kernel config file, and i gonna see changes between the two files.
