Topic: LiveCD loads to GRUB console

Hi,

I have the latest version of liveCD, which works fine on my lenovo laptop. When I put it in my desktop computer however, it boots up to the grub console, not the regular liveCD boot menu.

Any suggestions? thanks

Sometimes there are devices that cause problems, like usb units connected (keyboards, mice ... ).
If this is not the case, you can try some of the other late versions, like 0.3.4-6, 7 or 8, or even the "parted magic" live cd, that uses Gparted with other booting options.

I'm getting the same problem with the latest release (-10), I have no usb devices connected at the moment.

It also happens on -8 and -9, -7 works properly.  Parted Magic 1.9 also exhibits similar behaviour, I will try 1.8 later tonight and post my lspci if that is of interest to the maintainers.

If  -7 boots and detects properly your disks, you can use it.
