Topic: LiveCD Boot Problem (Configured/Using Wrong?)

Hello all.  First-time user after reading all kinds of good stuff about gparted Live.

- I downloaded the gparted iso file, 0.3.4-8
- burned the gparted iso onto an iso disc with Nero 7
- booted to disc
- Pressed <enter> to auto-configure
- followed prompts for US & US English
- and then ... received the following prompt:
     gparted ~ # _

Everything I've read indicates it should boot the program.  No?

Give Parted Magic a try and see if it works any better for you.

Or, you can use another boot option (the VESA option works in most cases)...

Or, run the "Forcevideo" script to choose the right graphics driver and resolution...

Or, try some of the previous versions, like 0.3.4-5.

In case you have no success, give us details on your hardware.
