Topic: Problems with Adaptec AAA-133U2 RAID controller

Hi,

I tried to use the GParted LiveCD 0.2.5-5 on my server. There are two Seagate SCSI hard disks (both 18GB) connected to an Adaptec AAA-133U2 SCSI RAID controller. The disks are bundled in a RAID1 mirror array. Running the software it shows the two seperate disk devices - a and b and not one homogeneous array disk. I even tried to boot up all SCSI and RAID extensions but that doesn't help anything. Can anybody help?

Thank you!

well, depending on your RAID controller gparted will indeed detect 2 separate disks. Only full hardware raids will be detected as a single disk and even then i'm not sure what will happen when you try to resize it.

Just out of curiosity, can you paste the contents of /proc/partitions ?
