Topic: Analogue Input failure

Hi when I boot up from the gpated live CD 0.3.4-8 it boots ok defaults to english lang but then it hangs with this message 1:Analogue input
Cannot Display This Video Mode. Any ideas my PC is running on XP home and is a  P4 3.0 Gig with a  19" Flat screen monitor all Dell stuff.

Re: Analogue Input failure

Try another video option on the boot-up menu. You could use VESA or any other option.

Even on the text console, you can run the script "Forcevideo" to choose a video driver + resolution.

Re: Analogue Input failure

Thanks got it working now with another monitor and in VESA mode. What I would like to do now is format a Compact Flash using Linux (have CF socket in my PC) is this possible.

Can`t make very much out of the links not very good with linux I just need to format the CF card with Linux so I can use it in my Dreambox which is  a Linux based satellite receiver.

Re: Analogue Input failure

If you can see the CF within Gparted as a disk, then you could format it.
