Topic: [SOLVED] Extended partition w lvm logical partition

Hi all,

first of all thank you for this great software.

I know very well that GPartEd doesn't support lvm partitions.  However can I use GPartEd to savely augment an extended partition which contains a lvm logical partition?

My concrete problem: 

ecki@uhu:~/downloads$ sudo fdisk -ul
Password:

Platte /dev/hda: 40.0 GByte, 40007761920 Byte
255 K

This should work. The logical partition you will create after you expend hda2, will be set to hda9

thank you for your quick answer.  I just tried it an all worked fine.

I would like to add [SOLVED] to the subject, but how to do?  I can't find a possebility to edit old posts :-(
