Topic: Cannot get Gparted to start

Hi,
My problem is my OS C: has almost filled it's 99GB partition so I'm thinking of shrinking an adjacent recovery partition [of 18GB or 1.28GB as a short term measure till I replace/upgrade t hard drive [which is 120GB]

Loaded Gparted on to CD, loaded ok.  Also loaded onto a USB.  Went intoSecure boot and selected USB option [note - my computer skills are limited, using an Inspiron 17 3000].  But after selecting keyboard english, I could not get Gparted to load, in a loop of going no further than kboard language selection.  My laptop does not show t same as Gparted on WikiHowTech so I'm not sure what's ado.

Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?  Haven't a scooby what to do. Hlp wud b much apprec.
Many thanks, Max.

You might try some of the Tips on Booting GParted Live, such as choosing "GParted Live (Safe graphic settings, vga=normal)".

Re: Cannot get Gparted to start

Sometimes, using an older version (1-2 years) can easily overcome boot problems.
