Topic: gparted hangs!

put gparted on a pen drive (usb)/Windows 11/64 Method A: Unetbootin (with Rufus same issue)

changed boot sequence!

Now hangs on first screen after boot with menu selector?

Also does this with a CD!

Doesn't matter which menu item is selected - nothing happens - just hangs?

GParted Live hangs with only the background picture after selecting mode

GPT or MBR makes no difference either.

Hardware: MSI Z590 - DDR4 3200 64GB - 11700k Core i7.

any help appreciated!

Thanx!

Re: gparted hangs!

This is sometimes due to missing drivers for any non-standard graphics or other essential hardware part of the computer.
An easy solution to try can be to use GParted from another live package that contains it, for instance 'SystemRescue cd'  (www.system.rescue.org). This livecd package is based on a different Linux distro, so it is very probable that it doesn't have the same problem.

(The thread is moved to the Live Media section).

*** It is highly recommended to backup any important files before doing resize/move operations. ***
