Topic: Does gparted live 1.3 modify any files per cron, udev etc?

Used live to correct /etc of a broken distro installation on a partition mounted on /mnt.
Got modified while I was working on them. Could not have been the original OS since gparted was running.

GParted Live is based on Debian Live.  I develop the GParted app and don't produce the GParted Live image, but I can't believe that there is anything that would modify files files under /mnt/etc.

Reigns outside my realms of imagination, too, but had to ask. Very strange thing. when editing /mnt/etc/logrotate.d/script.log it would get renamed to .lr *while* I was editing it, so some automated thing had to be the reason. I'll try the debian crowd, too. I can see incorporation of logrotate jobs via cron or anacron, but I doubt debian would be so careless to not limit the path to its own, real /etc.

What editor were you using?
