Vista

Can I use GParted to partion my hard disk if the OS is Vista.  I know Vista comes with its own partioning utility, but the amount of space available  for the partition is only a fraction of what I want to back up files. From what I've read, Vista places some of  its files towards the end of free space. Thus free space between the data and Vista files is unavailable. I have a 100GB hard disk which is only using 20GBfor data but Vista will only allow about 10GB for the new partition.
