With the next release we plan to add new enhancements to GParted.

Candidates under consideration include:

Yes - MR!12 - Add minix file system support
Mike Fleetwood has provided a patch set.

Yes - MR!13 - Support copying and moving of unsupported partition content
Mike Fleetwood has provided a patch set.

Yes - Issue #10 - Gparted fails to resize btrfs partition that is mounted read-only - MR!14
Mike Fleetwood has provided a patch set.

Yes - MR!11 - Update bugzilla references
Curtis Gedak and Mike Fleetwood provided a patch set.

No - Bug 627701 - option to encrypt new partitions (using LUKS)
Mike Fleetwood is working on this enhancement.

No - Bug 688883 - Improve SSD handling by using TRIM
Mike Fleetwood is working on this enhancement.

no - Bug 755429 - Add read-only display of LVM volume groups and logical volumes
Wrolf Courtney is not actively working on this enhancement.

no - Bug 671784 - enhancement: convert partitions from one file system to another
Massimiliano Ghilardi is not actively working on this enhancement.

A patch set to address MR!11 - Update bugzilla references has been committed to the git repository.

A patch set to address MR!13 - Support copying and moving of unsupported partition content has been committed to the git repository.  A big thanks to Mike Fleetwood for enabling this additional functionality.

A patch set to address Issue #10 - Gparted fails to resize btrfs partition that is mounted read-only has been committed to the git respository.  Thanks goes to Mike Fleetwood for this bug fix.
