Topic: GParted Live error while resizing ext4 partition

Hi,

I am trying to resize and move one of my Ubuntu partitions (sda10 for me) so that I can add the unallocated space to another partition (sda9 - to the left from my sda10 partition). I need to do that as I ran out of space on my root partition. I created a GParted live USB, which boots fine. However, an error occurs immediately when I "apply all operations" during resizing the sda10 partition.

Here is the error output:

Thank you for providing the gparted_details.htm log file with your report.

From the log it appears that the check of the file system with e2fsck passed successfully.  However for some reason resize2fs (v1.43.1) failed in pass 3 of scanning the inode table.  The resize2fs program is part of the e2fsprogs pacakge.  Version 1.43.1 of e2fsprogs is the most recent so it is possible you have discovered a bug in the resize2fs component.

You might try reporting the resize2fs problem upstream.  For existing and new Debian e2fsprogs bugs See:
