Topic: auto exectuting some command after boot

Is it possible auto executing  commands after boot?

The livecd systemrescuecd has a file named 'autorun' for this task. If exists this file at the root of the CD with a script inside, the live execute it automaticly. It is very useful for backups. Is there something similar in gparted?
