Topic: [closed] add syncBackup

The Gparted iso is nice but I could use it more
often if a small program syncBackup was included.

Any chance to get that done ?

Thank you patrick013 for your interest in GParted.

The GParted Live image is based on Debian Live.  Other than GParted, the software included in the image comes from Debian SID repository packages.  Using pre-built packages for the software saves us effort in maintaining GParted Live.  For example, fsarchiver.

Unfortunately I did not observe a Debian SID package for syncBackup.  Do you know if it has been packaged under a different name for Debian SID?

The only DEB packages are the ones on the syncBackup website
AFAIK.     It has one or two dependencies I had to find .deb
packages for but that was easy.     A small program too, for all
the work it does.

Thanks for taking a look and the response.

Unfortunately keeping track of package version updates across multiple locations is time consuming and error prone.  That is why we use the packages in the Debian repository.

If you can let us know when the package is available in the Debian repository then we can look into adding it to the live image.
