Topic: [SOLVED]gpt disk do not let users use the last 1 MB at the end of disk

On gpt disk, a backup copy of partition table is saved at the end of disk. I think it would be wise to always keep out 1 MB of space from the end of disk in any operations that span to the end of disk. What do you think?

The current version of GParted (0.16.2) does reserve a minimum of 1 MiB at the end of disk devices that use GPT.

You can test this by trying to create a partition that spans the whole drive.  The actual partition created will leave at least 1 MiB of unallocated space at the end.

There is no need to reserve any space; the space for the backup partition table already is considered unusable by libparted.
