Topic: [Solved] ProBook 6570b TouchPad does not work with 0.16.2-1b

Hi,

I have tested the new GParted Live 0.16.2-1b Stable Release version and found a small problem.
The gparted-live-0.16.2-1b-amd64.iso file was booted from my USB stick with GRUB2 on it. The USB stick was connected to the HP ProBook 6570b notebook.
After start It was not possible to move the pointer on the screen using the TouchPad.

The same happened with the file gparted-live-0.16.2-1b-i486.iso

In both cases it was possible to move the pointer on the screen using the external USB mouse (Logitech).

There is no problem if on the same hardware the file gparted-live-0.16.1-1-i486.iso or gparted-live-0.16.1-1-amd64 will be started. The TouchPad works in these cases well.

Is this issue reproducible on GParted live 0.16.1-4?

No, it is not.
No TouchPad issue in gparted-live-0.16.1-4-amd64

Could you give GParted live 0.16.2-3 a try?
Some X-related packages were updated, so maybe the results will be different.

Solved.

The TouchPad problem does not exist in gparted-live-0.16.2-3-amd64 any more.
