Topic: gparted-live-0.14.1-6-i486 live usb image not detecting RAID drives

I tried "gparted-live-0.16.1-1-i486" (live USB image) then switched to "gparted-live-0.14.1-6-i486" (live USB image). In both cases it is not detecting the Hardware RAID10 configured hard disks. The Hardware RAID card used is FastTrak TX4660. Any help please?

Would you be able to try the latest GParted Live image?

Currently 0.16.1-2 is in the testing directory.

I downloaded the 0.16.1-2 (USB Image) and tested, the result is the same it is not detecting RAID hard disk.

GParted Live is based on Debian Live.  To see if the problem only exists with GParted Live, or if it is a problem common to Debian Live, would you be able to test if Debian Live recognizes your RAID?

I suggest trying the XFCE .iso

Thanks for the replies. I downloaded Debian 7 XFCE from above link, sorry to say it is also not detecting the RAID HD, what could be the issue?.

It would seem that your RAID is not supported by Debian Live.  Fortunately you still have a few options to consider.

1)  Log a bug report with Debian regarding support for your RAID

2)  Try another Live CD that includes GParted, such as SystemRescueCD, to see if it supports your RAID.

3)  Try to locate drivers for your RAID and then Create your own GParted live from scratch

1.I will try to log a bug report with Debian.
2. I have already tried Ubuntu 13.04, SystemRescueCD 3.1.2, but with the same result. Will try with latest SystemRescueCD.
3. I will try to find Drivers and create GParted live version and will come back with results.
