Topic: SATA RAID-0 Not Recognized Help Please

I was using an older version of LiveCD, but even with the extra RAID and SATA modules loaded it wouldnt recongnize my array. I tried using the latest version of LiveCD v0.3.4-1 but i'm still having the same problem, and I didn't see any options during boot to load with extra options for RAID or SATA. The problem is that it doesn't see my RAID-0 array, it only see's the 2 indivdual drives i'm using and shows them both as unallocated space. Please if anyone can help, I just need to resize my partition. I'm running 2 x Maxtor MaxLine Pro 7H500F0 (500GB Each) with Intel 82801FR SATA RAID Controller. I appreciate any help. Thanks...

Re: SATA RAID-0 Not Recognized Help Please

When I open terminal within LiveCD and type what you said it tells me: No such file or directory. Is LiveCD normally capable of recognizing SATA RAID arrays? Is there a way I can add my RAID drivers to the LiveCD so it will recognize my array? Like you do when installing windows, it doesn't see the array to install windows on until it loads the drivers, is there a way to make LiveCD look and load the drivers from a floppy or usb drive or something?

Re: SATA RAID-0 Not Recognized Help Please

Ok I did the terminal command cat /proc/mdstat like you said. It gave me this:

Personalities: [linear] [Raid0] [Raid1] [Raid6] [Raid5] [Raid4] [Multipath]
Unused devices: <none>

Re: SATA RAID-0 Not Recognized Help Please

A kind of good output would be this :

[root@arkeia ~]# cat /proc/mdstat
Personalities : [raid1]
md0 : active raid1 sdb1[1] sda1[0]
      156288256 blocks [2/2] [UU]

unused devices: <none>
[root@arkeia ~]#

could you please try another livecd ? sysresccd, has some different configurations in kernel, and may this could explain....
