Topic: what version of libparted is used in the live media

Can someone please tell me the version of the libparted used in building the live image http://sourceforge.net/projects/gparted … o/download ?

I want to use the latest libparted version (3.1). But currently, the gparted that ships with debian Wheezy is built with libparted 2.3. Is there any image that is built with the latest libparted?

thanks
raju

The forum does not allow to post multiple links in the same post. The stable versions of libparted can be found at http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/parted/

The GParted Live image is currently built with a patched version of libparted 2.3.

In the future we plan plan to move to a newer version of libparted.  Please note that with libparted 3.0, the file system resize code for FAT16/32 and HFS/+ was removed.  In libparted 3.1, a new library added back much of the lost file system resize code.

Actually, it does allow that, but not for new users in their first post.  After that you can post multiple links per post.

Sorry for this little inconvenience, but it helps a little bit against spam scripts...
