Topic: [SOLVED] Unable to boot GParted LiveUSB -- Mounting /dev/loop0 failed

I made a GParted LiveUSB as per the manual GNU/Linux instructions on the GParted website.

When I try to boot from it, I am able to boot from BIOS and I'm prompted with the GParted menu, but after selecting any of the menu items after about ten seconds of output I am thrown to a BusyBox prompt, with instructions telling me to check "live.log" for more details or add "debug" to the kernel parameters. After adding "debug" to the kernel parameters, my live.log file can be found here.

What can be done to fix the error? What is causing the error? What exactly is the error?

Which version of GParted live did you use?
Any good luck with testing one, i.e. gparted-live-0.14.0-2?

Steven.

I used gparted-live-0.14.0-1, the latest stable image. I'll try gparted-live-0.14.0-2, but honestly I doubt it will solve my problem. I will edit this post or make a new post with details when I try it.

Well, I tried gparted-live-0.14.0-2, and suprisingly enough it worked perfectly. Thanks for the suggestion! Marking this as solved now.

Thank you for reporting back, and also editing the initial post to prefix SOLVED in front of the title.
