Topic: [closed] Gparted for ANDROID devices

i know you must be root and sometimes is diffcult to become root at your own Android device.

But a Gparted for rooted ANDROID devices

And if it is possible for non rooted ANDROID devices, would be a GREAT TOOL

Can the android device be accessed as a disk device when attached to a GNU/Linux computer?  If so then you could use GParted from Linux to edit the partition tables on the android device.

It can be done for internal sdcard when it's an independent partition, so you can connect it to your computer in mass storage mode.

For the whole memory, that is usually located at /dev/block/mmcblk0 you have to access it directly from the phone, or from your computer via remote shell.

It would seem that GParted running on a Linux PC should be able to partition an Android device attached to the PC.
