Topic: Computer won't boot
I am having trouble booting up my laptop.
I was trying to run gparted from a bootable cd, as part of rooting my android phone. I have downloaded the iso, burnt it as an image with Magic ISO and checked the MD5. I changed the boot order in the BIOS set up to select CD before HDD. I then put the cd in and restarted.
Now my computer seems to be stuck at the first screen, saying Toshiba. It gives me options to "Press F2 the enter set up or F12 to enter multiboot options". However neither of these buttons do anything except to say "Entering setup please wait" or "Entering multiboot please wait". The computer just sits there thinking.
If I press Esc then I can get an unbranded screen with the name of the BIOS and the same options at the bottom, but this also does not go any further.
I have tried to restart without the disk in, and also with another bootable disk in that did work (an earlier step in the process) but to no avail.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Simon
