Topic: Username and Password for Live Media

Hello everybody,

I've recently downloaded the gparted-live-0.8.1-3.iso Live CD.

Unfortunately the provided credentials user/live do not work.

Does anybody know, which is the correct username/password combination for LiveCD Login?

The GParted Live CD page contains the account username and password for the live user.

What are you trying to do that you are being prompted for a password?

I'm using gparted-live-0.9.1-1 and have the same problem.  The user/password combo of user/live does not work.  I tried a few other common combos, and couldn't guess one.

Any ideas?  Looks like several people have had this problem and I haven't seen any solutions...

Workaround for me:
OK, so the dl from sourceforge http://sourceforge.net/projects/gparted … ve-stable/
requires a password, which isn't the one in the documentation

I found one from download.com which didn't ask for any authentication.  Strangely enough the file name and size were identical, but the screens were way different.  Whatever, the one from download.com worked, the one from sourceforge didn't, strange it's usually the other way around...

That is strange.  Downloading from sourceforge.net is not supposed to require a password.

I tried downloading from the SF link as an anonymous user and I was not prompted for a password.
