I presume that ANY usage of GParted in a NTFS environment (I have ext4 and NTFS volumes on same drive). On the download page I see "Please use GParted Live 0.8.1-3 or 0.8.1-6 if you need to resize NTFS.", but no link to that version, only these:
Download old LiveCD (0.0.9-alpha1 to 0.3.4-11) releases
Download old LiveUSB (0.2.5-2 to 0.3.1-1) releases

I'd like a LIVE CD on that one to replace my old 0.6.2-2 disk I still have laying around...

Also, is there any other bugs or issues that, by using this older version I need to be aware of - I am going to clone the Windows XP part of a failing 250G drive to a newly formatted/partitioned 1TB drive tomorrow

The message on the Download page was removed a while ago.  You might try refreshing your browser while viewing the Download page to see the updated page.

The latest stable release is GParted Live 0.9.0-7 and is the one I would recommend for resizing NTFS file systems.

If you are trying to clone a drive, then you might look into Clonezilla which is a tool specially designed for cloning.
