Topic: Expanded HD gparted shows new disc size but C drive prop does not

I expanded my Virtual HD for Parallels from 10000 to 15000 and needed to use gparted to make the new space show up to the computer.  When I did this I got an error regarding clusters but did the disk check and rebooted twice as told to do.  Now gparted shows the 15000 disc 50% used 50% empty but C drive under properties still only shows 10000 so it seems it still doesn't recognize the new size of the disc.

I picked expanding disc under Parallel Image Tools intially to resize the disc.

Any help is appreciated.  Thanks

Hi Amurry,

What is a 'virtual HD'?

So basically you initally expanded the disc with PIT and when that failed you used gparted? What version of gparted did you use?

I assume he means a virtual machine, running inside Paralells Desktop... :-)

Sorry the refer to the vitrual hard disk not drive but its basically just the part of the hard drive that Windows is running on with Parallels

I used version 0.3.3-0iso of gparted.

RESOLVED
I went in the other night and reduced the size of the disk and then it worked fine only did it enough to let the gparted software allow me to re-edit the disk.

Thanks for the help
