Topic: Help wth Resizing Raid 0 array

Hey there
A friend just recommended this software to me so I have much to learn

I have an Nvidia Raid 0 array with two 300GB HD with WinXP
One HD in the array is dying so I am trying to shrink the partition on the array
so I can copy it to an eSATA drive and use it as my system HD while the array gets fixed

I cannot get the livecd to recognize the two disks as an array
it just says that there are two drives with 100% unallocated space.

I tried using both the gparted_livecd-beta-0.9.1.iso and gparted-livecd-0.3.3-0.iso

What am I doing wrong?

I was able to resize, move and create a second partition on the eSATA drive without any problems

Re: Help wth Resizing Raid 0 array

The problem you are talkin about concerns kernel. Since i have nobody to make tests, i just can guess module is not loaded to drive array.
Could you please give some info about your drive(s) ?

Re: Help wth Resizing Raid 0 array

I've got exactly the same problem, twin Seagate Barracuda SATA2 320GB's split into 2 raid volumes in a Raid 0, striping config.

GParted shows the first volume but the rest of the drive remains "unallocated".
