Topic: Can't Create Working ISO from gparted-livecd-0.2.5-2.iso
I'm hoping there are people here who had in the past made with own ISOs from the gparted-livecd-0.2.5-2.iso.
I downloaded gparted-livecd-0.2.5-2.iso (as its only 30MB and loads really fast, and shutsdown really fast and easy).
I extracted it and used CDRPACK to make a new ISO.
When I boot with the original ISO all works fine, but if I boot with my newly created one I get the following messages:
Booting from /dev/hdc...
/linuxrc: /linuxrc: 139: cannot create /dev/null: Read-only file system
/linuxrc: /linuxrc: 139: cannot create dev/console: Read-only file system
Kernel panic - not syncing : Attempted to kill init!
This error occurs in 0.2.5-1 and even 0.1.
If I try the exact same process with gparted-livecd-0.2.5-3.iso it works perfectly!
One thing I noticed is that the file structure on the ISO dramatically changed from 0.2.5-2 to 0.2.5-3.
Is there something I need to do to get my new ISO to work?
Or is there a version of 0.2.5-2 which has the same file structure that 0.2.5-3 has?
I have downloaded gparted-liveusb-0.2.5-2.zip which has the same file setup as 0.2.5-3, so maybe a 02.5-2 version in the newer structure would be possible?
Bottom line is that I would like to make my own ISO with 0.2.5-2 that works.
Thanks in advance.
