Topic: GParted does NOT recogn./load the correct display driver! Screen dark!

A big disadvantage of GParted Live is that it either does not recognize the correct display driver or it does not load it correctly on some (but not all) of my systems.

At first it is very sad that the user must specify himself what kind of driver is necessary.
While in previous GParted versions (v5.x) I have MANUALLY to switch for my notebook to VESA video driver this does not even help with the v6.x version of GParted Live.

Even if I specify here VESA the screen remains dark.

Ok, the boot messages at bootup are shown but when it comes to the actual application the screen is dark/black.  GParted Live becomes for me unusable on certain computers.

I wonder why it is so difficult to detect for GParted Live the necessary video driver.

Other partition tools (Acronis Disk Director, Easeus Partition Master,...) CAN detect the video driver by themselves without a problem.

So what is the problem here?

We need more info to see what's going on there.
Which version of GParted live did you use? 0.6.2-2 or?
What's your VGA card?
If the VGA card is automatically detected successfully by the system, you do not have to enter the driver name. If you use 'vesa' and it still fails, maybe it because some of the kernel or X driver compatibility in that release. Please provide more info and we will do our best to fix this issue.
Thanks.

When you boot GParted live, in the boot menu, press Tab key, then change the boot parameter
i915.modeset=0
as
i915.modeset=1
then press enter to boot it.
Please let us know the results.

Sorry, this doesn't work either.

I took some digicam snapshots from the error messages on the screen:

and at the end:

What else is possible?
