Topic: Drive not found

250GB SATA Fujitsu HD stopped working in Dell XP laptop.  Removed the drive and placed in another computer.  Recognized in bios correctly and does not make any mechanical sounds that indicate mechanical failure.  Gparted does not find the drive.  fdisk -l does not list the drive. Testdisk  reveals no partitions.  Attempt to repair MBR yielded no difference.  dd_rescue yields I/O error.

Any suggestions on how to rescue the data?

Hi,

There is chance to lost your hard disk.If the hard disk is making ANY strange noises, then switch the PC off immediately, then data lost chances is low.
