Topic: LiveCD boot problems

I have an IBM xseries server with a ServeRAID adapter that I attempted to boot GParted LiveCD V0.6.1-2.  I get to the statement

Mounting "/live/image/live/filesystem.squashfs" on "/filesystem.squashfs" via "dev/loop0"

and things start to go wrong.  The above command finishes, but seems to take a long time.  Afterwards I get "ata1: lost interrupt" and "ata1: soft resetting link" messages, followed by SQUASHFS ERROR messages, until it finally stops not being able to locate a library.

I attempted to boot V0.5.2-9, which gave me the same set of errors.

I then attempted to boot V0.4.6-1, and it succeeded in bringing up the GParted application.

Has anyone else experienced this condition and now how to correct it?

Thanks.

Re: LiveCD boot problems

Looks like it's kernel regression... The kernel 2.6.32 in GParted live 0.6.1-2 can not identify your hardware...
We will create another GParted live when newer kernel is available.
Or maybe you can try systemRescueCD or Partedmagic live CD.

Re: LiveCD boot problems

I was able to successfully use systemRescueCD; thanks for the suggestion!
