Topic: [EDITED] Monitor turns off during boot

Hello, I burnt the ISO onto a CD and tried booting from it. It seemed to work but, after the screen with all the flowing text and the penguin on top, my monitor just went standby with its LED blinking. This normally happens when I turn my pc off. After that, there was some hard disk and CD activity and then nothing happened.

My graphics card is a nVidia GeForce FX 5200 with S-Video output.

Thank you.

Edit: I was wrong, the LED stays off. I just tried 1024x768 and it did the same thing. Maybe not a video problem at all. I wonder why it accesses the disk drive and the hard disk after the screen has gone blank. Any help is appreciated.

Re: [EDITED] Monitor turns off during boot

could you please edit this file :
/etc/x11/xorg.conf
and past the section that contains the "section device". It is about 10 lines.
BTW, i guess you should have some error message in the black screen, dont you ?
