Topic: USB fdrive

I have a USB flash drive of capacity 16 GB.(Transcend) .
My basic problem is that this drive is not being mounted on RHEL 4 , but it is mounted on RHEL 5 onwards. I have a major portion of my systems on RHEL 4, and I have purchased this drive for downloading backup from one server to another  ( they are not in LAN) .
I tried to partition it using gparted on linux , but it is not allowing me to write anything on it , saying it is a FAT 32 read only system.
Please guide me how to make this USB drive mountable on RHEL 4

Re: USB fdrive

Did you try to look for this issue in any RHEL forum or any other general Linux forum, like linuxquestions.org ?
(there is a special Red Hat subforum there: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/red-hat-31/ ).
