Topic: 0.5.1-1: Unable to find a medium containing a live file system

Trying to run gparted live CD on an Ubuntu 9.10 image running in VMWare.

mount -t ext4 -o ro,noatime /dev/sda1 /live/image

EXT4-fs (sda1) mounted file system with ordered data mode
[repeats]

BOOT FAILED!  This Debian Live image failed to boot.

Workaround was to mount an Ubuntu 9.10 ISO as a CD connected to the vmware guest, boot off that, and run its GParted instead.

The livecd contains its own bootable operating system.
