Topic: Cannot start gparted

I have burned the ISO-file successfully with Nero. When I booted from the CD, the DOS-environment appeared, but after listing my USB-devices, booting stopped like freezing.

Okay, then I disabled the USB-legacy-support in BIOS and booted again. Now it ran through until I had the DOS command entry cursor. I enterd "dir" and found as the only exe-fle WWBMU. This turned out to be the boot manager, I didn't find a possibility to resize my partition.

Please, what must I do to get into the partition-manager?

Which iso did you burn ?
Offical or beta-iso ?

I found the ISO on the DVD of the german computer-newspaper "PC-Magazin". It is the file
"gparted-livecd-0.3.3-0.iso".

The result is very disappointing. It took me 2 hours (with my ISDN) for downloading. The behaviour is exactly the same as I reported in my former posting. Booting stopps within the DOS-envirenment.
Any further idea?

I burned it with Nero 6 Express, where I selected "bootable disk". Burning was reported as successful. Boot started, which might be the proof for proper burning, isn't it?

Don't know whether my answer has arrived for you.
So, again: I burned with Ner 6 Express, where I selected "bootable disk". And since this disk booted anyway, I think burning was okay. Or might still be something wrong?
No, you did not hurt me. If I do something wrong, I would be happy to learn howe to do it correctly.
