Topic: Boot Hangs at DOS Prompt.

I have not been able to boot into the partition editor. The boot hangs at a DOS prompt. I tried a number of commands including run_gparted with no success. I used the latest 0.7 beta version of Live CD. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

please could you try the last 0.8.5.1 ?
----> when using beta (and even offical) *always use the last release...

Thanks, I tried 0.8.5.1 and unfortunately got the same result. I am going to try a commercial partition product.

Excuse-me if i hurt you, but are you sure did a good iso burn ?

Larry,

I may not be burning the file correctly. I used NERO 6.0 to burn a bootable cd of the Winrar file ......0.8.5.1.iso.

If you do this : http://www.wizardskeep.org/mainhall/tutor/neroiso.html
then it is okay, and i can admit there s a problem in the iso.
So just try smile

BTW, either i misunderstand something either you made something worng : iso is not rar file...

I tried one last time with a new burn of a non Winrar ISO and stalled at the same place. I will try a commercial partition product.
