Topic: Does GParted support eSATA and Bluetooth interfaces?

I have external HDD case where four disks are housed (1TBx3 + 1.5TB). The HDD case is attached to my Windows XP desktop PC via PCI eSATA interface card which supports port multiplier. I also use Logitech MX5500 Bluetooth keyboard/mouse. MX 5500's USB Bluetoot receiver is inserted to motherboard's USB port. Will the latest stable GParted LiveCD support  hardware configuration like this?

My k/m: Logitech MX 5500 Revolution Bluetooth keyboard and mouse:

I tried Acronis Disk Director Suite v10.0.2160 but it could recognize neither eSATA disks nor my MX 5500 bluetooth keyboard and mouse. That's why I got concerned......

Thanks for advising!

Re: Does GParted support eSATA and Bluetooth interfaces?

Concerning the various wireless keyboards and mice, I remember that there were some problems since long (even with some usb keyboards too, for the 0.3.x versions).

About e-sata, my personal experience comes from an integrated e-sata port on Asus motherboard and a Freeagent Seagate external drive. I think this port comes from a Jmicron chip. I found that this drive on e-sata port was something like 10 times slower than on usb or firewire port. Since then, I use this drive on firewire only.

However, I remember that the drive was detected by the BIOS early on the boot-up process. So, I would be more optimistic. I think that a special e-sata card would be more reliable than the integrated ports (although the fact of having multiple drives on the same port could complicate thinks). Anyway, GParted is able to work on USB connected drives. The only way to be sure is to try: if the drive is well detected, then GParted Liivecd will be able to work on it. Of course, this is a kernel issue too, so a newer version is more likely to succeed. The latest available live version is 0.4.5-3.

Thanks for the reply.
Big apology for following this up lately. All hardware mentioned in my initial post are detected beautifully by the latest GParted build:D
