Feature Request: Increase screensaver timeout to 4 hours (or never)

The default at something maybe like 10 or 20 minutes is a little agresssive for a pre-installation administration utility.  The application is designed to be used to do its specific job so there really isn't any concern about screen burn issue, also more people don't sit infront of the computer the whole time Gparted maybe doing its work, so its annoying to have to keep going back to the machine to wake it up to see whats going on.

i fully agree, there shouldn't be a screensaver running when performing tasks with gparted. Are you referring to the livecd (which doesn't have a screensaver afaik) or just gparted usage in general?

X does have a built in screen saver. You can turn it off by typing:

xset s off

and in the login shell:

setterm -blank

These commands kill the built in screen savers from both X and bash. That should do it.
