Topic: "Cannot execute binary file"

I'm booting the livecd in a vmware vm.  After keyboard selection, I get the following:

-bash: /bin/depth: cannot execute binary file
root@GParted:~#

I also chose the VESA video option because it was previously hanging before loading X.

Any ideas?

thanks

Well, my first idea is that there are some problems with emulators !
I got some with QEMU too....

Re: "Cannot execute binary file"

I have no doubt that virtual machines could add some complexity to the mix.

I increased the size of the virtual drive, after which vmware specifically states that you should use your favorite partition management tool to increase the partition to the  new size of the disk, assuming that's what you want to do.  I believe many people are using gparted in VMs.  I would like to figure out if there is some setting that can prevent gparted from hanging/crashing in my vm.

Well, i run without any problem (just video) gparted livecd through VMware workstation 5.5.1.
For video i need to chose vesa driver. And all rocks smile
