Topic: Help with resizing partitions!

SOLVED
Hello,
If anyone could help I'd really appreciate it.  After finding this great app via the guys at dl.tv, I made and booted the CD, but I ran into a problem resizing one of my two partitions.

I can't increase the size of my first 15GB (almost all used) partition.  Shrinking the size of the second 135GB partition (115GB used) doesn't allow me to expand the first.  This was all done in the "undo-able"
phase of Gparted.

Thanking someone in advance,

Joebu

hmmz, you really should provide us with more details if you want any usefull help. Right now i can only guess you are trying to move the start of the partition?
This is not possible with the current version. A gpartedversion which can do this is in CVS and will be released soon.

Re: Help with resizing partitions!

Yes.  I didn't know that the start of a partition can't yet be moved.  Since the start of of the second partition essentially defines the end of the first partition, if I can't move the start of the second, I can't enlarge the end of the first!

Thanks for the info, it solves my problem.  I'll wait for a subsequent release.

Lastly, how do I edit the name of the thread to note that it is solved?
